Please Pray!

Chris and I are asking you to join us in prayer for Jared Areno. Jared has been Chris's best friend since they were in the 8th grade together. He found out about 3 weeks ago that he had a mass in his stomach that was cancerous. Surgery was done on April 1 and the prognosis is not good. His abdomen was full of tumors of which many could not be removed. The surgeon removed the biggest part of the mass and and had to make a resection for his stomach because the mass had it obstructed. The cancer seems to be on the outside of many organs but does not appear to have penetrated any. The doctors are giving him 3 months without treatment to a year with treatment. He will start chemo on Monday, which is early... most of the time, they wait 6 weeks to give the body time to heal after surgery.

Jehovah-Rapha is still sovereign and in the business of healing. Please ask God for a miracle! Pray that he will spare this 32 year old's life so he can see his girls grow up! Pray for the doctors treating Jared. Pray for his wife, Trena, for strength and her health. She's been sick and having to travel between Houston and home. Pray for his three girls.
